I'm an operator and investor building B2B software companies through Scalable Ventures. I've co-founded UnifyCX (6,000+ employees) and Backupify (acquired by Datto), and I work hands-on with founders on strategy, execution, and scaling systems.
Today my focus is AI adoption that replaces process overhead and amplifies people—paired with the fundamentals: org design, go-to-market, and capital-efficient growth.
With over 25 years of experience in technology and entrepreneurship, I've learned that sustainable growth comes from the intersection of innovative technology, sound business fundamentals, and exceptional team execution. Founder & CEO- Founded and lead Scalable Ventures, investing in and building B2B software startups with high growth potential.
- Created and launched products such as HiveDesk.com, Revoyant.com, and Magnt.com.
- Invested in and advised startups including Untitled Firm, Acquire.com, Graphlan, ImageProVision, Capture, DTN, SentryHealth, Space Tango, SuperFan, and Talla.

Co-Founder- Co-founded and grew UnifyCX from one location and a few employees to a 6,000+ employee international company providing personalized contact center, business processing, and technology outsourcing solutions.

Co-Founder- Co-founded Revoyant, a centralized AI solutions marketplace for businesses to discover, compare, and implement AI tools and services efficiently.

Executive Vice President of Business Ventures- At Nucleus: Kentucky's Innovation Center, responsible for creating an Innovation Hub for the Louisville startup community.
- Introduced a training program based on the Lean Startup methodology.

BackupifyJan 2009 – Dec 2014
Co-Founder- Backupify is the leading cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery solution for software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, including G Suite and Office 365.
- Manages 160PB of data for 40,000 companies, protecting over 4.6M users and restoring 150M items every month.
- Founded with Rob May in 2008. Over six years, raised $22 Million from top-tier venture capitalists (including Avalon Ventures, General Catalyst, First Round Capital, Lowercase Capital) and corporate investors (such as Symantec and Betaworks).
- Acquired by Datto in 2014, which then proceeded to go public in 2020.
Greater Louisville Inc.Dec 2001 – Dec 2010
Managing Director- Served as Managing Director at the Enterprise Corp, a division of Greater Louisville Inc.
- Helped 100 clients raise over $100 Million in funding.
- Nine clients successfully sold their companies for an aggregate of over $250 Million.
- Developed the Louisville Entrepreneurship Map, a dynamic tool showcasing Enterprise Corp clients, funding sources, service providers, incubator space, and educational resources.
